Dourthe

Founded in 1840, Dourthe is today one of the most impressive wine producers in Bordeaux. Its viticultural expertise, exacting quality standards, inherent understanding of wine and dynamic approach are unanimously recognised and rewarded by the wine industry at large.

Grape growers first and foremost and also the proud owner of a number of prestigious chateaux and creator of premium quality wines, Dourthe observes an uncompromising quality policy across its entire portfolio.

Over the years, the company has developed a distinctive culture, which can be defined by a special bond with the soil, team spirit, a love for the finer things and a constant quest for perfection. This culture forms the foundation of the Dourthe signature style, which has become a benchmark in quality in Bordeaux.

Grape growers first, Dourthe owns and manages 9 properties in Bordeaux (more than 500 ha of vines) and observes an uncompromising quality policy reviewed and fine-tuned every year: Analysing the terroir, adapting the plant material and planting density to suit researched yield and caring to the vine throughout the entire period of vegetative growth.

" Since 1840, we have developed over the years a distinctive culture that can be defined by a special bond with the soil, team spirit, a love for the finer things and a quest for perfection. This culture forms the foundation of the Dourthe signature style, which has today become a benchmark in quality in Bordeaux. Grape growers first and foremost, we adhere to an uncompromising quality policy for all our wines, and our approach is reviewed and fine-tuned every year. This commitment to always exceed our limits is evident at every stage of the winemaking process, so that every single one of our wines is a benchmark, vintage after vintage. "
