Château Mas Neuf

The history of Mas Neuf is closely linked to its location along very ancient traffic routes which passed close to its vineyards. From the 18th century, the road from Saint Gilles to Compostella runs 100 metres to the south of a Medieval ruin and naturally led to the owner of the area to establish a post house to shelter men and their mounts for some hours or for the night. These lands enjoy an excellent aspect and for some centuries, the vines have occupied a priviledged place around the noble building. Over the years, by continually searching for the most expressive and elegant terroir in the Rhone, Luc Baudet and his team created this selection of wines.

The identity of these artisanal wines if found in the physical reality of the Rhone terrior: the soil, the earth, and the Mas Neuf climate influenced by proximity to the sea. Only organic ways are used on our parcels. Above all, these wines are the result of patience, hard work, and the determination of passionate winemakers who have, generation after generation, developed an intimate knowledge of their soils and climate.

The artisanal wines are built around the three-pillared equilibrium of TERRA (soil), MARE (climate), and HOMINI (humanity). RHONE PARADOX by MAS NEUF Launched in 2009, this range from Mas Neuf is a story of friendship in winemaking with iconic terroir experts: Luc Baudet from Costieres de Nimes, François Villard from Côte Rôtie and Vincent & Pascal Maurel from Châteauneuf du Pape.
