“AUSTRALIAN WINERY OF THE YEAR 2015” by James Halliday Established in 1997 by Keith and Alison Hentschke, the Hentley Farm vineyard is an outstanding high quality grape producing property in the Western Barossa, hand-picked for its shallow red soils, perfect for super premium wine production. Keith Hentschke – Founder Keith had come from an extensive work and study background within the wine and agricultural industry. While the Hentschke family originally settled in the Barossa Valley in 1842, and their descendants remained there for many generations.

Andrew Quin – Wine Maker Winemaker Andrew Quin has a track record of producing exceptional high quality and high scoring wines (he has made more than 15, 94+ pointed wines in the last three years). Greg Mader – Vineyard Manager After managing “Grange blocks” for Penfolds, Greg has taken vineyard management to another level. He has an exceptional ability to produce ultra premium grapes Australia’s most famous wine critic James Halliday rates Hentley Farm in the top 10 highest quality Barossa Valley wine producers, 5-Star Winery and Winery of The Year 2015.

Hentley Farm is the youngest winery in the Barossa valley to be awarded his highest rating. Hentley Farm has consistently achieved ratings above 94 points for its wines from The Wine Spectator, Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate and James Halliday. In the July 2012 Spectator Hentley Farm was featured as one of three luxury wine producers “to put on your radar”. Hentley this year had over ten wines score over 90 points by Robert Parker’s Australian wine reviewer Lisa Perotti Brown The Sydney Morning Herald named Hentley Farm as the producer of Australia’s best Shiraz Cabernet in 2012
