Located in the Chianti Classico region of Tuscany, Italy, the history of the San Felice estate started at the beginning of the 20th century, when the Grisaldi Del Taja family, one of the founders of the Chianti Classic Association, arrived in the region. During this time, they made great progress in viticulture in the region.
The legend of Delas dates back to 1835, when Charles Audibert and Philippe Delas, the founders, bought a wine company called Maison Junique in Tournon, in the Northern Rhone Valley, France, and renamed it Audibert et Delas. In 1924, brothers Henri and Florentin Delas took over the estate and renamed it Delas Freres, which continues to date.
